Drop Through Truck Mounting

Truck mounting is very important and should be done right. Regular bottom mounted trucks are very easy to install so I will not bore you with that information today. But one thing to remember is that longboard trucks have the tip of the kingpin face outward and skateboard trucks have the kingpin face inward.

Here is a very helpful video from Loaded longboards that will tech you about and how to install drop through trucks on a board as well as setting up the wheels and bearings.

Original Freeride Beast

My dream board has finally been released, however because I live in Canada it’s a little to late for me due to the changing seasons so I will have to wait until next year to ride it.

Anyway I am going to keep this one short and shoot a link at you.

Please check it out and read all about it and you will see why I want this board.

How to Clean Bearings

Now that winter is approaching you should consider cleaning and re-lubricating your bearings before you let your board sit around waiting to be ridden. You should also clean and re-lubricate your bearings regularly during the riding season to clean out all the grime and dirt that will eventually destroy your bearings and slow you down. Also while your board sits your bearings can collect dust and dry up. It is extremely important to re-lubricate your bearings especially if you enjoy riding fast. Your bearings can heat up and weld the races to the ball bearings causing you to bail hard!

So make sure to follow these instructions and take into consideration the information provided by Bones Bearings in this link: Bearing Maintenance
